5 Ways To Summer Body Perfection

If you live in the northern hemisphere, the days are getting longer and the sun is shining brighter which can only mean one thing; It’s time to get your body out of winter hibernation mode and summer-ready.

While we can’t help with the 10 extra pigs in blankets, alcohol and tubs of chocolates consumed over Christmas to keep you going in those dreary winter months, we can help with getting your summer body sorted by following these 5 steps: 

Mirror, mirror on the wall

The first thing to do is to look in the mirror and see the beauty that already stands in front of you. That’s right, you’re already perfect just as you are and you don’t need to do anything to be summer-ready on the outside, the work you need to do is on the inside.

Trash it

Any magazines you have lying around or Instagram ‘influencers’ you follow, bin them. Bin them now. They do nothing to help you see yourself as the perfection you are and they’ll only torment you as you flick through the pages or scroll through your feed.

Be bold

Want to wear a bikini? Wear it. Want to skinny dip? Do it. Want to wear a fluorescent tank top with your short shorts? Wear it. Be bold, flaunt what you’ve got and ignored everyone else. If you see someone staring, they’re probably just staring because they wish they had your courage to be bold and do what you want.

Slap it on

The sun is like the wicked witch of the summer and will ruin your skin if you don’t take care of it. So slap on the suncream, 30 SPF with a 4 or more star rating is your friend. Get a gorgeous sunhat to protect your scalp and ramp up your moisturising routine to keep your skin beautiful and supple.  That way you won’t go into winter hibernation looking like a Floridian grannie.

Be kind

If you’ve made it through all 4 steps, remember how difficult it was for you to overcome your head gremlins and tabloid pressure to be a size zero and only eat a stick of celery a day. When you see someone else being bold enough to love their body and do what they want, give them a high five, boost them up and you’ll feel like a million dollars.

Now, if you achieve all 5 steps, you’re good to go.
